When Stansham Castle came under attack from Starscream, Thundercracker, and Skywarp, the British Armed Forces responded by sending Captain Whitley and his men. Thinking they were searching for an unexploded bomb, they discovered an alien spacecraft buried beneath the castle and called in Major Dawes to take charge of the situation. However, before he could do so, the Man of Iron emerged from the spacecraft, sparking a full-scale battle between Jazz and the Decepticons that forced the human forces to flee and ultimately destroyed the spacecraft.
