Bulletbike (TransTech)

This article is about the enterprising TransTech motorcycle. For the awkwardly simple motorcycle from Generation 2, see Bulletbike (G2){{#switch:{{#sub:Bulletbike (G2)|-1}} != .= ?= .

Bulletbike is a neutral Transcendent Technomorph from the TransTech continuity.
Obi-Wan Kenobi, you are my only hope.

Bulletbike, the thirty-seventh richest bot on Cybertron, is the CEO of RoboCo. Snarlingly condescending, he has very little regard for his industry peers, much less the lowtechs who are thankfully kept locked up in Axiom Nexus. He cares about little else besides money, power, prestige, and, most importantly, his dignity. He finds violence oddly empowering.

TransTech

[edit]
Gotcher soul!

The last thing Bulletbike remembered for certain was the party celebrating RoboCo's contract with the TransTech Senate to provide Vehidrones to patrol the Offworlder sectors. The next thing he knew, he was face down in a pile of putrescence, trapped in a body so lowtech it would be comical under any other circumstances. Shooed on his way by a Security Administration officer with an odd name, Bulletbike tried desperately to make sense of his situation. Unaccustomed to watching his own back on a dark street, Bulletbike was accosted by a mugger. Panicking, he struck back in self-defense, driving a pipe through his attacker's optic and murdering him.

Having passed out from the stress and shock, Bulletbike awoke hours later in the presence of a lowtech named Scrounge. Like Bulletbike, Scrounge claimed to be a 'bot of greater standing than his form implied. Although his claims were more than dubious, Bulletbike was thankful to have at least someone to talk to who was willing to believe him. While trying to access his accounts, Bulletbike discovered the situation was worse than he had assumed. He hadn't just been aggressively downgraded, someone else was actually using his original body, posing as the real Bulletbike for all to see. Now having a face for his enemy (even if it WAS his own), Bulletbike began concocting a plan to confront his nemesis. Seeking a new source of funds since his own account was inaccessible, Bulletbike decided to borrow a trick from his earlier victim and threatened to mug an Omnicon in an alleyway. When his target attempted to fight back, however, Bulletbike committed murder once more without fully intending to. While recovering the well-stocked cred-key from his latest victim, Bulletbike felt...perturbed by the lack of guilt in his processors.

At Swindle, Swindle and Swindle, Bulletbike enlisted the greasy trio to perform a full-spectrum analysis of his systems to find any proof of the spark-exchange process that had trapped him in his present form. Their diagnostic failed to turn up any trace of spark-tampering, but Bulletbike did undergo some basic repairs in the process. He killed yet another Offworlder to refill his cred-purse, and then arranged to contact his arch-rival in the business world: Ego, of C-Kar Technologies. Offering to reveal a fatal flaw in RoboCo's sentries for a price, Bulletbike arranged a clandestine meeting in Ego's home offices to deliver the proof and discuss terms. At C-Kar, Bulletbike attacked his rival, catching him off-guard with the sheer ferocity of the assault and paralyzing Ego's systems with a spike of nucleon before decapitating the TransTech with his own precious Sword of Megatron keepsake. With Ego's guard Aurik murdered as well, Bulletbike began arming himself for an attack on his own company.

At RoboCo, Bulletbike managed to battle his way through the entire complement of guards and confront his nemesis. The fight was brutal, and Bulletbike eventually overcame "himself" and threw the impostor out through the glass of his office. Giddy with victory, Bulletbike barely acknowledged the Security Administration agents who burst into the room moments later. Content with his success and believing he had reestablished his identity, Bulletbike fatefully ignored Officer Stungun's command to freeze, and dreamily stepped off the balcony to reclaim his body, plummeting to his doom. Although Bulletbike was certain of his identity, questions about what really happened continued to linger among the TransTechs long after his death... I, Lowtech The Coming Storm: Part 1

An expose on Bulletbike's exploits was later broadcast on Around Cybertron. Around Cybertron #2

Generation 2

[edit]
Not his real body, just a loaner.
  • Bulletbike (Power Master, 1995)
    • Power Master ID number: PM4
    • Accessories: 2 gattling guns
Generation 2 Bulletbike was repurposed as TransTech Bulletbike's new body.
Bulletbike transforms into a silver motorcycle with an orange sidecar. As a Generation 2 Power Master, Bulletbike's gimmick revolved around his powerful pull-back motor. After pulling back on his vehicle mode, inserting one of his guns into the slots on his sidecar releases a catch in the motor and allows him to zip along a smooth surface. This feature also works in robot mode.
Along with the other Generation 2 Power Masters, Bulletbike was one of the last toys in the Generation 2 line, and was only released in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Oddly, the Australia and New Zealand releases were in U.S. packaging, complete with Hasbro's Rhode Island address.

Notes

[edit]
  • Bulletbike's TransTech body is based on the toy of Beast Machines Thrust, though with a different, more humanoid head.
