Since we seem to have given up trying to translate the Decepticon Microns' names based on English (like "Bid" or "Bal"), shouldn't the older ones like Gra, Guru, and Balo be moved to straight romanizations for consistency? Mimi 01:53, 12 February 2013 (EST)

Romanizations

This has been brought up a couple of times, to no traction, so I'm trying again: The animal Arms Micron names are inconsistent. Some use straight Hepburn, while others try to hew closer to the English words. We need to pick one method and stick with it.

We have:

• Baro - Bulo - Balo (mixture)
• Baru - Bal (Hepburn)
• Bido - Bid (Hepburn)
• Dado (Prime) - Dud (Hepburn)
• Dai - Di (Hepburn, alternatively Die)
• Gobuu - Gob (novel)
• Gora - Golla (Hepburn)
• Gura - Gura (novel)
• Guru - Gle Gul (novel)
• Jigu - Jig (Hepburn)
• Ozu - Oth (Hepburn)
• Zadoo - Zad (novel)

Considering that this wordplay doesn't translate well into English, and the other names being derived from Japanese words, I think Hepburn for them all is easier and results in less headaches.

Also names to reconsider are B.2 and S.2 (to B.B. and S.S.) and Sais (to Sise, closer to Sideswipe). Maybe Jayz to Jaze. Saix (talk) 13:36, 14 May 2021 (EDT)
