Optimal Optimus?
[edit]Would Optimus Primal count? Technically, he didn't USE the Matrix for anything, but it did change his body. That kind of implies that yeah, he could light some dark hours with it.
- No, Optimus Prime's spark changed his body. He did not use the Matrix. Prime's spark holder just looks similar to the Matrix. --ItsWalky 18:28, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
Ahh, see I interpretted it as meaning that Prime's spark was inside the Matrix. So he had to take both. --Octopus Prime- King of the Road! 18:31, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
- And even if Prime's spark was inside the Matrix (as I too thought), it clearly shows Rhinox removing the spark from it, so the Matrix itself never actually left Prime's body. - Dark T Zeratul 21:05, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
- In the final episode, IIRC Rhinox has a shouted warning "His spark has the matrix!" This was added to cover the animation gaffe.
- No it wasn't. That was in the original script. Part of Larry and Bob's intended background mythos was the idea that Optimus Prime's spark had something to do with the creation of the Matrix factory where Maximal Sparks are born. That is why Optimus Prime's Spark is too powerful -- it had a unique quality that was utilized after his death, or something like that. Of course, that never made it into the canon, but that is what that line was originally intended to mean.--ItsWalky 21:21, 25 September 2006 (UTC)
- Hrm. Ben's site confirms what you said. Odd that Larry disagrees. --ItsWalky 21:28, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

- Nonetheless, every OTHER references says it ewas Optimuss Spark. BW Meg's upgrade reinforces this idea (G1 Megs didn't have the matrix, for example.) And finally, you have Primaeval Dawn which makes it explicit, no that was nto the matrix in the episode. taken all togehter- no, OOp should not be listed as a Matrix-bearer. -Derik 21:14, 25 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Is this for the bearers of the Matrix of Leadership itself or any Matrix? —Interrobang 14:52, 31 July 2011 (EDT)
- My thought since about five minutes ago exactly. I went ahead just shoving anyone who owns any Matrix in here because I couldn't find enough other folks to make a separate article. I also think UM and A3 should go in here, because though they may not have wielded the Matrix as Primes, their minds or copies thereof were stored inside the thing. - Well, I went ahead and added all the ones I could think of. Does Animated Optimus count? —Interrobang 15:03, 31 July 2011 (EDT)
