I'm not sure this works as a sub-category of "Humans," as they'll be plenty of articles in that aren't actually about humans. Such as the NBE article that's already here. --KilMichaelMcC 22:07, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

Additionally, I would suggest keeping that "Organizations" category Walky deleted. I think there's probably enough of 'em. Just off the top of my head there's S7, III, EDC, Machination, Skywatch, Earth Federation. --KilMichaelMcC 22:14, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

The EDC isn't an Organization any more than "the Decepticons" are, they're a full-fledged faction in the Transformers conflict. I get the impression Sector 7 is operating as the Movieverse "third faction", but I'd say that to be a faction you have to answer to no higher authority, while Sector 7 presumably answers to the United States government. --Rotty 23:11, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
It's been awhile since I read Ghosts- but doesnt' that mention takign the organization black, making them unaccountable? -Derik 23:28, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
Do you know what the term "black ops" refers to, Derik? They're government operations kept secret from foreign powers, ordinary citizens, and anyone who doesn't have high enough security clearance. Sector 7 is most definitely subordinate to the Movieverse President of the United States. --Rotty 23:52, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

The EDC isn't an Organization any more than "the Decepticons" are, they're a full-fledged faction in the Transformers conflict. -- I don't understand this sentence at all. --KilMichaelMcC 00:35, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

It has something to do with there being an arbitrary status-change in becoming a faction, so we treat those organizations differently.
I disagree, needless to say. Though he might be right abotu S7 beign a faction- there's chinese test-shots of S7-aligned Omnicons, and they're going to have a playable unit in the Battle for the Allspark online game. -00:40, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
I think the difference between Factions and the still non-existent category of Organizations would be that Factions should be used to refer to Transformers, while human organizations are, well, Organizations. So if we did have such a category, I'd probably be for taking EDC, GI Joe and Cobra out of factions. (I was totally baffled as to what EDC was doing in that category at all, until I remembered Kiss Players.) --KilMichaelMcC 01:07, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
I think to be an Organization would be a group of beings working under some higher power to accomplish a specific goal. A Faction would BE that higher power, working to accomplish possibly a broader goal. Sector 7 wouldn't be a faction, because the faction would be the United States, or even possibly all of Earth united. --Sntint 01:31, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
Yes, yes, I completely agree with this definition. --Rotty 02:43, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
My further thought is that perhaps we should have a category called "Human organizations" rather than just "Organizations," and some articles in that category could also qualify as "Factions" --KilMichaelMcC 01:50, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
Seconded. Non-human organizations are much rarer, and would probably fall under TF culture. -Derik 02:13, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
Works for me. --ItsWalky 02:35, 21 May 2007 (UTC)
