- Part of the first wave of "Mega" class toys in the Tonka 1-2-3 Transformers toyline, Charlie Chopper is an orange and white rescue chopper with electronic phrases: push down on his cockpit windshield to make him say one of a combination of phrases, which differ in robot mode and vehicle mode. He has an articulated right thumb which allows him to give you a thumbs up.
- He also includes a shield/badge which can peg into the back of his fists, and a life preserver that can hang from the flip-out hook on the underside of his chopper-mode nosecone.
- He was lightly redecoed by Takara and released in Japan as Chopper, and later more extensively redecoed by Hasbro as Airlift Andy.
