Cox was waiting in a helicopter at Nellis Air Force Base when NSA agents Theodore Galloway and Frank Pelletier arrived. Though he told Galloway that he'd just received orders to scratch any missions around Hoover Dam, he suspected something was up, and was all too glad to follow Galloway's orders to lift off. Flying north of Boulder City, the two helicopters piloted by O'Brien and Maddocks were intercepted by Ransack, who destroyed one and shot the other down. Nefarious #3 Cox survived the crash, but as he, his men and the two NSA agents looked for cover, the helicopter exploded. Cox and his men were killed in the explosion, but Galloway later made use of Cox's radio to call for help from NEST. Nefarious #4
