Fiction
[edit]The Transformers cartoon
[edit]The dome-topped building known as Decepticon Headquarters on Cybertron was where Megatron planned to ambush Optimus Prime's energy-hunting expedition four million years ago. Before leaving, he told Shockwave to get off his shelf and watch the planet in his absence. More than Meets the Eye, Part 1
Four million years later, Shockwave finally got off his shelf to try and make contact with Megatron once again, making contact with the ruined Victory. Shockwave caught up his master on Cybertron's worsening state and his new intergalactic teleportation device, the space bridge was almost ready. Once it was finished, its receiving node was built into Decepticon HQ so the base could receive energon directly from Earth. As the Earthbound Decepticons were making their first deliveries, Megatron was sent through the vortex, Transport to Oblivion and wound up in the base. After he'd used the communication relay to bark some orders at the Seekers, he promptly space bridged back to Earth. Roll for It
After a battle at a munitions plant had resulted in Optimus Prime being critically wounded, Ironhide led a team through a hijacked space bridge so they could retrieve a new cosmitron for their leader, arriving in the base as Shockwave and Reflector were unloading energon, immobilizing both to the floor. No sooner had Shockwave freed the duo did the Autobots blow past them again and head back to Earth. Divide and Conquer
After the Decepticons had allied themselves with Doctor Arkeville, they built a duplicate hypno-chip control computer within their base. When Spike Witwicky and the Autobots entered the base, the mind controlled Sparkplug sounded the alarm but the Autobots managed to quickly escape, pilfering away vital data on the hyno-chips. The Ultimate Doom, Part 2 The Ultimate Doom, Part 3
Roughly a year later, the Autobots and Decepticons had come dangerously close to expending their cybertonium supplies. When Shockwave sent a supply for his allies, the Dinobots, smarting from an earlier defeat, jumped at the chance to reach Cybertron and leave the war behind. Though they initially caught Shockwave off-guard, he had upgraded his security, capturing all of them, but Swoop, as slave labor. With the Dinobots AWOL, Carly and Spike followed them through the space bridge, escaping from the cyclopean Decepticon through the cracks in his equipment. Once they'd rescued the Dinobots, and gotten enough cybertonium for their friends, they headed back to Earth. Desertion of the Dinobots, Part 1 Desertion of the Dinobots, Part 2
Later that year, the Female Autobots stole a cache of energon cubes from the base. The Search for Alpha Trion
Seeking new warriors to counter the Autobots' ground superiority, Megatron brought the Stunticons to Cybertron so that Vector Sigma could infuse them with life. The Key to Vector Sigma, Part 1 That done, Megatron headed back to Earth while Shockwave hung around Vector Sigma, witnessing the birth of the Aerialbots and overhearing that the Key to Vector Sigma had different effects on Earth, before returning to his tower to inform Megatron of this. The Key to Vector Sigma, Part 2
Outside the base was a large landing strip where Shockwave conducted Sentinel firing tests before the Combaticons arrived, their combined form of Bruticus overwhelming Shockwave's forces. Tossed into space, Shockwave chanced across Starscream. Unaware of his comrade's exile, the scientist brought him back to the base where the two discovered the sabotage to the space bridge, its power now sending Earth hurtling into its sun. The scientist attempted to undo this only to be shot in the back by the traitorous Air Commander before both were caught by the Combaticons and imprisoned. The forces of Optimus Prime and Megatron soon arrived to free them, both sides uniting against the rogue Bruticus, saving Earth from its doom but with Megatron using the base's holographic projector to fool the Autobots into thinking Bruticus was dead when in fact, he'd reprogrammed the combiner to be loyal to him. The Revenge of Bruticus
In the year 2005, when the Decepticons had restored Cybertron to the point of habitability, Shockwave was given a new working place, one that overlooked the planet. It was in this new office that Shockwave ordered the Decepticon fleet into action against Unicron. The Transformers: The Movie
The Headmasters cartoon
[edit]
Despite the years of disuse and Autobot occupation of Cybertron, Decepticon Headquarters and the space bridge node within remained in working condition. Galvatron made use of this in the year 2011, when he and several of his troops had to get from Chaar to Cybertron. As a side effect of the Matrix becoming depowered, Vector Sigma's link with the Autobots was broken and Galvatron wanted to reprogram the computer in the Decepticons' favor. When he explained the mission's objective to his troops gathered at Decepticon Headquarters, Weirdwolf demanded that he and the other new recruits be given a chance to prove their worth. Galvatron wasn't impressed by his demands, causing the Headmaster trio to boldly leave the base straight through the glass ceiling, even though there was a perfectly functional door. The rest of the Decepticons followed after them a few moments later with equal disdain for the door. Four Warriors Come out of the Sky

While an obvious security risk, the Autobots let Decepticon Headquarters be. The Decepticons made use of that to send the Headmaster trio and the Madmachine to Cybertron in another attempt to take control of Vector Sigma. The Great Cassette Operation Letting the whole "control Vector Sigma" gig rest for a while, the Decepticons tried to obtain the cybertonuron the computer had recently created. Galvatron sent the Predacons to Cybertron per space bridge first to make preparations for the attack. Meanwhile, he gathered his troops on Chaar and Earth and had them board Astrotrain's shuttle mode. Astrotrain in turn took the space bridge to Decepticon Headquarters, where the troops got out and moved out to unleash an onslaught on the unsuspecting Autobots. Cybertron Is in Grave Danger, Part 1 A few hours later, Cybertron was blown up, and Decepticon Headquarters ceased to exist. Cybertron Is in Grave Danger, Part 2

[edit]
At some point after Sentinel Prime outlawed gladiatorial combat, Termagax's Ascenticon movement established "Ascenticon Headquarters" in Iacon, built over the defunct colosseum that had been constructed just after the War of the Threefold Spark. It became the hub for their burgeoning political movement, and it remained so after Megatron had taken over the faction. After Rubble died, Bumblebee visited the headquarters to join the Ascenticon Guard, and used the arena to prove himself in a sparring match against Refraktor and Skytread. The Cracks Beneath Your Feet Part One
The 'bots of Security Operations had a tense match with the Ascenticons when it became clear that they were harbouring Barricade after he was implicated in Rubble's murder, and the standoff only came to an end when Megatron organized a false-flag attack by The Rise to extricate their person of interest. The Cracks Beneath Your Feet Part Five Heretech and Starscream later visited Megatron in the arena to warn him that his movement had been infiltrated and compromised. The Change In Your Nature Part Four
After Megatron finally dropped all pretenses and forcibly overthrew the Senate, the building became Decepticon Headquarters, where Megatron all but ruled Iacon after deciding to imprison the former Senators in their own building. As he consolidated his grip over the stricken city, Megatron again met with Starscream before heading to the central antechamber to deal with Termagax. Awakenings
When Cyclonus learnt that Exarchon had returned, he made for Decepticon Headquarters to warn Megatron. After rejecting the Threefold Spark's promises, War's End Part One Skywarp teleported to Decepticon Headquarters, warning Starscream and Soundwave of the danger. War's End Part Two
