Disintegrator ray

Got an invasion ground that's crawling with creepy fleshlings? Need to clean house on an organic world? Fire up your trusty disintegrator ray gun and turn those squishy wet humans into clean dry skulls in no time flat! With a burst of light and a split-second wave of blue energy, these flesh-obliterating weapons cause humans to vaporize and explode, leaving behind little more than a handful of bones and some empty clothing. Use the hand-held version for your ground assault, or mount the larger version on an Orbital Assault Carrier and issue even bigger doses of death from above! Works great on large groups.

When the Decepticons invaded Chicago, disintegrator rays were used by both their ground troops and their aerial forces. The pickup Decepticon carried a small version of the weapon and used it to obliterate a small crowd of humans who tried to flee when he arrived and transformed.
An Orbital Assault Carrier located a batch of hiding humans near downtown Chicago that included Sam Witwicky, Robert Epps, and their allies, as well as a variety of civilians. Many of the civilians were pulverized by its disintegrator as they tried to flee, leaving little more than a skull or two in their wake. Only the timely arrival of the Autobots kept Sam and company from meeting the same fate.
As they faced the newly returned Autobots a moment later, Sam trod on the scant remains of the ray's victims. Dark of the Moon

[edit]
- The Transformers Scourge has a 5 mm compatible weapon that can be attached to the top of his head, referred to as a disintegrator ray in his instructions and packaging bio.
Notes
[edit]- Weirdly, when Scourge got upgraded to a Targetmaster, his head piece went from a disintegrator ray to a rocket booster. It is unknown if they're the same weapon.
- It's likely that the weapons in Dark of the Moon aren't disintegrator rays like what G1 Scourge uses, but we don't have any idea what else to call them at the moment.
