After Ratbat sent them to Earth, Blitzwing, Astrotrain, and Octane wound up catching Scraplets. The Throttlebots had discovered a cure for the deadly disease and when the Scraplets combined into a giant monster, Goldbug was forced to disinfect the three Decepticons, whereupon Blitzwing gleefully began hacking at the monster with his electron scimitar. Blitzwing used his gyro-blaster to disrupt his target's balance before dispatching them with his electron scimitar. Blitzwing's More than Meets the Eye profile The electron scimitar contained an Energon-powered fuel cell that allowed it to project an energy field around its blade, enhancing its capabilities.
