Elita-Infin1te

Elita-Infin1te is an Autobot Combiner from the Power of the Primes portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.
Ceiling Elita is watching you flee.

When Elita One combines with four other of her fellow Autobots, she becomes the mighty Elita-Infin1te! Or maybe four other Decepticons, or a mix, it's not really clear.

Elita One can also form Orthia by combining with a specific few of her Female Autobots.

Power of the Primes

[edit]
Look, if Optimus Prime gets to have a bigger version of his own head for his combiner mode, then so do I!
  • Elita-1 (Voyager Class, 2018)
  • 4 x compatible Deluxe Class figures
Power of the Primes Elita-Infin1te can ostensibly be formed by attaching any four Combiner Wars-style Deluxe Class figures to Power of the Primes Voyager Class Elita-1.
As a Power of the Primes combiner, a Prime Master, Matrix core, or Enigma can be installed within Elita-Infin1te's chest, hands, or feet, such as the "Autobot Enigma" that comes packed with Elita-1.
Power of the Primes was notoriously muddy on information about "intended" layouts for Combiner teams. While the Dinobots and Terrorcons were pre-established teams who received complete coverage, no such luck exists for Elita-Infin1te! The following is a summary of every recorded configuration... though we'll note that while the instructions are largely arbitrary, the packaging art components are all Autobots.

Since Moonracer is already a component and it's on retool Novastar's package, it's probably her - but enough weird things have gone on with these Combiners that we can't say for absolute certain!</ref>

The later release of Generations Selects Ricochet lines up pretty well with how dark the limb looks... but every other Power of the Primes Combiner's package art features only toys released during its span, so it's entirely possible the intended play pattern was to buy two copies of the same Jazz at some point!?</ref>

Notes

[edit]
  • Elita-Infin1te has the unique honor of being verbally named by Hasbro at their New York Toy Fair 2018 panel (though this name never appeared on any printed material).
  • It may be strange for a Combiner who ended up completely fictionless and largely forgotten in favor of another who shares 3/5 components, but context clues suggest that Elita-Infin1te was supposed to be a first-class Combiner in Power of the Primes like Volcanicus and Abominus. She's the only other release to have a name, and like the Dinobots and Terrorcons, every single one of the associated limbs released during that franchise's span has Elita-Infin1te on their packaging. For contrast, both the Starscream and Inferno Combiners only have their images on one Deluxe each (while Blackwing isn't advertised as a limb for anyone else, he instead gets the Dreadwing superjet on the side of his package instead). Why Elita-Infin1te ultimately became a footnote in history and gets categorised with their two nameless companions instead is, frankly, anyone's guess.
  • While the Starscream and Inferno Combiners receive (sparse) fiction via their Nexus Prime Master cards, Elita-Infin1te sadly misses out. Instead, "Nexus Elita-1"'s power is to "strip Decepticon Combiners of their ability to combine". It's unclear if Elita-Infin1te therefore possesses this power, or if the Nexus Prime Master and Combiner upgrades to Elita-1 are completely unrelated in the Prime Wars Trilogy marketing material microcontinuity.
  • Elita-Infin1te and Orthia being two Combiner Wars-style Combiners with the same torso mirrors both Ultra Prime versus Optimus Maximus and Betatron versus Computron.
