Hearts of Steel

[edit]

Mark Twain chartered the Enterprise to take himself and Jules Verne to view Tobias Muldoon's prototype "sub-marine" the S.S. Vicuna in action. The captain noted that the voyage cost a "pretty penny". When the Vicuna developed a fault and sank, Muldoon was also brought aboard the Enterprise. Hearts of Steel #1

"Strange Visitors" establishes that events identical to those of Hearts of Steel and Infestation 2 occur in the 2005 IDW continuity; however, they happened to Maximal explorers brainwashed by Shockwave into believing they were the Autobots and Decepticons of the Great War.

Notes

[edit]
 • The closest Enterprise operating in this time frame would've been the steamship :}}Enterprise (1861)| that was built in San Francisco in 1861, and operated by the :}}Hudson's Bay Company| from 1862 before she was lost in a collision with the sternwheel steamer :}}R.P. Rithet (sternwheeler)| in 1885. Mark Twain had also moved to San Francisco in 1864.
