When Frank and his wife got a dog, they named it Heatwave. One morning, Frank went hiking with Heatwave but got caught in a blizzard, sprained his ankle and lost his backpack and phone. He ended up trapped in a cave after the entrance was covered in snow, until he was found by the Rescue Bot recruits with the help of Heatwave. Whirl flew him and his dog to get medical help.
