Gent was programming a Reusable Launch Vehicle to search for the remains of a Chinese satellite when the station was contacted by Alexander Porter, who was briefing NEST on the purpose of the space station. A short time later when Hyperdynamix detected four incoming meteors, Gent realized one was going to hit the station, and had Donnelly shift the station.

Later, when Gears was shot in the back by Reverb during a space mission, Gent had the other astronauts attack the Decepticon with the station's trash drones, and promised Kevin Bowman they'd get Gears back to Earth. Satellite of Doom
