The first plot device acronym in years that isn't a double entendre.

The Hyperdynamix Orbital Debris Disposal Initiative Station is a human space station created by Hyperdynamix. To the world at large, its purpose is to clear decades of space debris from Earth's orbit, and to this end it is equipped with a number of robotic drones to collect or destroy debris. However the station has a second purpose, unknown to even the station's crew: creating a network of sensor drones to provide an early warning system to detect incoming Transformers. It is generally referred to as HODDIS for short.

HODDIS was already online and operational when Alexander Porter briefed General Marcus and Optimus Prime from NEST of its capabilities, including the early warning system. They were still in the meeting when the sensors detected four incoming meteors, and the station had to be moved into a higher orbit to avoid being hit by one of them.

When Reverb shot Gears in the back during a space mission, the HODDIS robotic drones were used by Gent to attack the Decepticon, knocking him out of orbit and sending him Earthward. Gears was taken on board the space station, to be returned to Earth via the station's supply rocket. Satellite of Doom
