  • Rarity: Common

Goldbrick can be created at the Pig Lab in Hog Head Mountain with Common-rated Energon Crystals, though it's a bit of a roulette spin to actually earn it. Once obtained, its energon cube capacity can be upgraded in the Lab with more Crystals and Coins, up to Grade 3.

When activated, Goldbrick multiplies the number of coins given up by every brick broken and enemy defeated. The more energon cubes it has stored up, the longer the duration of its money-making powers. Angry Birds Transformers

Notes

[edit]
  • "Goldbricking" means to look more useful than you really are. And that used to apply to Goldbrick... until the introduction of Crates. With the Steel Crates needing Coins to open, and the "Open 5 Crates" now being a Daily Quest costing you 60,000 Coins daily (you get a free one every 24 hours), a dedicated daily player can burn through some Coins, especially if they're still upgrading bots (at least, without using Gems for instant upgrades). And with the increased use of Coins to upgrade Accessories and Energonicons in the March 2020 update, this little drone became much more useful.
  • Goldbrick is best held off for when gold blocks appear, as those really cough up Coins. If you have three Energon cubes stored up and are about to de-cyberform some scenery, go ahead and activate it for the extra moolah, since you'll have a cube shortly for future gold blocks.
  • Like all Energonicons, Goldbrick was originally created via Materials, but this was changed in a March 2020 update. Previously, it took a combination of 1 Pig Iron and 2 Anger Chips, or 1 Birdium + 2 Anger Chips, to get Goldbrick as a possible prize on Professor Pig's roulette contraption.
