Ground Soldier

Warrior (left) and Sergeant (right) variations
Heavy Weapon variation

The Ground Soldiers are groups of identical robots that serve as Decepticon foot soldiers, with each group specializing in some variation of combat.

Types include:

  • Blue Warrior Ground Soldiers specialize in sword combat, and may carry energy shields
  • Gold Sergeant Ground Soldiers specialize in unarmed hand-to-hand combat, being incredibly quick on their wheeled feet
  • Massive Heavy Weapon Ground Soldiers are tanks that specialize in just brute-force assault, wielding monstrous hammers

They serve in contrast to the mass-produced aerial Seekers.

  • Elite Seeker / Ground Soldier (Multi-pack, 2025)
  • Game: Devastation
  • Release date: July 20, 2025
  • Accessories: Sword
"MTMTE Collection" Studio Series Ground Soldier is a redeco and new-head retooling of the Earthrise Runamuck/Runabout mold, transforming into an '80s sportscar somewhat reminiscent of a Lotus Esprit X180. Like the other Devastation-deco toys, only his windscreen is given cel-shading paint, as is his "fake" chest windscreen. Both have the same "sheen" design despite being differnet sizes, a nice bit of attention to detail.
Instead of either of the Battlechargers' blasters, he comes with a new-mold sword accessory based on the type the Soldiers use in the game, which is itself based on Razorclaw's "sonic sword".
He was released with his fellow generic Decepticon Elite Seeker in a Target-exclusive two-pack, with a small amount of stock also available through Hasbro Pulse.

Notes

[edit]
  • The Warrior and Sergeant variations are based on the Battlechargers (taking many elements from their Timelines toys).
  • The Heavy Weapon Soldier is based on Blitzwing, but without the jet mode or associated jet kibble. They are also the largest non-combiner character in the game, standing twice as tall as even Optimus Prime and Grimlock (and Blitzwing, obviously).
