Hasbro Q&A/August 2010: Question submission
MediaWiki participates in Hasbro's ongoing Question & Answer sessions. Our site will be allowed to submit two questions to Hasbro's Transformers team for answering. If you're a registered user at our site, please add your question below!
Some ground rules:
- Don't ask about hypothetical future product or if certain characters are going to come out in toyline X.
- Don't ask about financial numbers or corporate matters.
- Don't ask Hasbro why they suck so much to vindicate your personal grudge.
- Don't ask Hasbro to badmouth one of their licensees to vindicate your personal grudge.
But questions about current or past product are pretty great! Those kinds of answers will result in the best and most informative responses.
Each registered user can ask one question at this time. Please bullet and sign your question. The deadline for your questions is the evening of Sunday, August 8th, and answers will be sent back on (approximately) August 30th. If you're a registered member and for some reason you can't edit this page, ask your question on the discussion page, then I or Walky will move it here.

August 2010 questions
- It is now confirmed that Vortex Blurr has been cancelled along with other Transformers Animated toys. However, had this toy been released, would it had changed the fate of Blurr in the cartoon?, as he was last seen being crushed by Shockwave and getting thrown into a garbage disposer.ACIDSTORM92 02:41, 1 August 2010 (EDT)
- Transformers: Exodus, while quite interesting, contridicted itself on a few points: Early in the book Starscream is said to have had a long carear as a scientist then later to have no scientific knowledge because he was not a scientist. Trypticon is at first said to have been turned from a space station into a transformer and given a Spark in Ancient times, then later in the book this is all done by Shockwave in the "present". At one point the book talks about many Seekers joining the Autobots after Shockwave destroyed their base, and about "ALL the Seekers on the Autobot side" being out on patrol, then later it describes Jetfire as the "only Seeker" to join the Autobots. Could you shed any light on which of these contridictions is the true story? --ZacWilliam 08:36, 1 August 2010 (EDT)
- When deciding on redecos which comes first the mold or the character? That is, do you say "We should reuse mold X, what character should we make it?" or do you say "We should make character Y, what mold should we use?" --Khajidha 09:28, 1 August 2010 (EDT) (resubmitting my question from last time)

- Are there any plans to return to the idea of Transformer "Elseworlds" (in the fiction at least) a la the Evolutions comic series banner? I for one would love to see a series where the Ark revives the characters in 1944 instead of 1984 --G1MarvelBlaster 12:32, 1 August 2010 (EDT)
- Is there an industry term for the various catalogs, flyers, DVDs, comics and other materials sometimes packaged in with Transformers figures? (All the stuff that isn't the instruction sheet, effectively.) -hx 15:41, 1 August 2010 (EDT)

- Would Galvatron be a suitable candidate for the Transformers Hall of Fame, or is he already covered with Megatron's induction? --Bluestreak7 16:54, 3 August 2010 (EDT)

- Beast Wars Ultra Transmetal II Tigerhawk has four wheels on his wing assembly that were intended for a third mode that was dropped at some point in development and replaced with an attack mode. What was this mode supposed to be, and can the released toy convert into it? --FortMax 15:47, 6 August 2010 (EDT)
- Now that Hasbro is more involved in deliving out the history of the Thirteen, how do the Covenant play into this? Is it so far fetched as to say the twelve former dwellers of Protos could have been the thirteen, minus a Serpentarius-like Fallen? Gearshift 11:26, 7 August 2010 (EDT)
- Are the toys packaged in "Generations"-like packaging but without the "Generations" label printed on them part of the "Generations" toyline? - Starfield 19:03, 8 August 2010 (EDT)
