The Heavy Hauler Team was created on Cybertron by the Last Autobot, after the war with Unicron. Like all the Mini-Cons, their mission was to repair and refortify the planet, bringing it back to the Golden Age from before the war. Unfortunately, not all Mini-Cons enjoyed the idea of sharing Cybertron with the Autobots once they eventually returned. Wideload of the HHT became a secret convert of Broadside, a Mini-Con gathering his own forces to ensure Cybertron for Mini-Cons...and no one else. In order to achieve that, however, a new order was necessary. Broadside, the Heavy Hauler Team, and the Urban Renewal Team served as personal security for the Mini-Con leader, Modus Prime, during an inspection in Altihex. Following a mysterious skirmish with a half-dead "Autobot" and a violent explosion, only Broadside and those loyal to him, Wideload and Sledge of the Urban Renewal Team, survived. According to the forensics, Steel-Belt was crushed by a collapsing storage tank, while the explosion itself ended Flatbed. What actually happened, and if Wideload was personally responsible for killing some of his own teammates, is left unanswered. The New World
