Howard Salazar received a call from Bill Simmons at Sector 7 command long after Bill had been assumed dead. The agent had also used an outdated code when contacting him, making Salazar suspicions about the nature of the call. Nonetheless, he decided to inform Director Walter Simmons about the message he had just received. When Walter Simmons guessed the identity of the caller himself, Salazar told his superior that in all likelihood, if the caller was indeed Bill Simmons, he was only able to make contact with Sector 7 after being broken by the Soviets. He was ordered to dispatch a team to investigate the caller's identity. Later that night, Salazar received another phone call, this time from the young Seymour Simmons. The boy explained that his father had appeared at former agent Tova Anael Fischer's deli in the middle of the night, and had left him the secret number to contact Sector 7 as well as his prosthetic metal hand. This time around, Salazar did not hesitate in informing Walter Simmons of the situation. This led to the eventual induction of young Seymour Simmons into Sector 7. Convergence chapter 3

Notes

[edit]
  • We're assuming that this Howard Salazar is not the same man as the Agent Salazar from "The Reign of Starscream", since the stories involving the two of them are separated by over forty years.
