Incendiary gun

Seemingly identical (other than the color) to Starscream's null-rays and Skywarp's machine guns, Thundercracker's weapons of choice are incendiary guns that fire ceramic bullets, each containing an explosive flammable material that ignites on impact.

Toys
[edit]The Transformers
[edit]
- Thundercracker (Decepticon Plane, 1984-1986)
- Accessories: left & right fists, 2 rocket launchers, 2 incendiary guns, 2 rockets, left & right wings, left & right tail fins, left & right tail wings, landing gear
- The Transformers Thundercracker came with two blue missiles that were identified as incendiary guns in his instructions and packaging bio.
- This mold was also used to make the simultaneously-released Starscream and Skywarp, and was later redecoed into Sunstorm. It was also retooled into Dirge, Ramjet, and Thrust, although Dirge and Ramjet came with entirely new weapons.
- After Thundercracker ceased to be shipped to toy stores in 1986 he was available as a mail-away item, and has been reissued several further times down through the years. Of note, Commemorative Series Thundercracker came with retooled incendiary guns and rockets, making them much longer for safety reasons.

- According to his packaging bio, Masterpiece MP-11T Thundercracker is armed with a shoulder-mounted incendiary gun. This toy is a redeco of MP-11 Starscream, and has been redecoed and retooled into pretty much every other Seeker since.
Notes
[edit]
- Generation 1 cartoon Thundercracker fired a flamethrower-like weapon in "S.O.S. Dinobots", "The Ultimate Doom, Part 2", and "A Plague of Insecticons", which likely represents the cartoon's interpretation of his profile's incendiary guns. Additionally, in "Fire on the Mountain", he mused to himself about frying Skyfire "extra crispy".
- In a relatively common quirk of the Marvel Universe profiles, Thundercracker is described as having a singular weapon while his profile art clearly depicts him with two. This oddity appears to have carried over to his MP-11T bio, despite the toy also obviously having two weapons.
