Jeerermonkey is a Laser Beast from the Generation 1 continuity family.

Jeerermonkey (ジーラモンキー Jīramonkī) has a story to tell you. Quite a few stories, actually. He knows lots of them and is more than happy to share with anyone who'll listen. Where most Laser Beasts are cold and almost mechanically single-minded, Jeerer is jovial and jocular, an easygoing sort who can make friends with just about anyone. He's always up for a good tale, a few jokes, and just generally lightening the mood.

Which just makes his job of extracting information from people all the easier. Loose lips sink ships, and he knows how to get people talking without forcing them. A few subtle nudges in the conversational path and he's gleaning secrets his targets aren't even aware they're spilling. Of course, he's got other methods. He's an incredibly nimble and agile beast, capable of popping up just about anywhere to listen in on secret conversations. And if he really needs to brute-force a secret out, he's got his Talk Flush Laser (トークフラッシュレーザー Tōku Furasshu Rēzā) MVP Weapon, which can be charged to project a strange light beam that makes the target a total blabbermouth, unable to stop themselves from truthfully answering any question they're asked.

Legend of the Three Wise Ones He participated in the invasion of the surface and war with the Beastformers who lived there, and during one battle was sent fleeing by the Sheep Hunter and Stag Hunter. Part of the second—and rarer—assortment of Takara's Beastformers individually-boxed Laser Beasts, Jeerermonkey is an anthropomorphic proboscis monkey in high-tech black armor. His left arm ends in a multi-bladed fan. He has a transparent orb in his torso, revealing the elemental power of Fire, Water, or Wood when you look through it into a light source.

Nominally, he comes with the monkey-themed "Talk Flush Laser" blaster. However, there is also a chance he could come with the weapon from one of the other 11 Laser Beasts in his shipping case; matching the Beasts with their same-numbered weapons was part of the "role-playing game" attached to the line, encouraging kids to buy more of the toys.

This toy was never released in Hasbro's Battle Beasts line, not even in the limited capacity most "Shadow Warriors" were. As such, it commands a high price on the secondary market.

Notes

• It is unknown what Jeerermonkey's Hasbro Battle Beasts name would have been. He was slated to be released in one of twelve "motorized vehicle" (aka Battlecruiser) sets. The Pre-Toy Fair 1988 catalogue shows him on the yellow-and-red mole-type vehicle, but it's entirely possible he would have come with a different one; this assortment never made it to packaging sample stage.
