Karsten

Karsten is a Brazilian textiles company - still active today - that produced a handful of merchandise for Estrela's localization of the Generation 1 Transformers toyline during the 1980s.
Their line-up featured a pair of home decor sets for kids' bedrooms (albeit it is unknown whether the products were sold as a bundle or individually), consisting of a combination of pillows, bed sheets, and curtains for each set. <ref>Archive and gallery of Brazilian Transformers at Nova Cybertron (in Portuguese)</ref>

Notes
[edit]- An unknown small black robot toy can be seen on the nightstand in the catalogue image for the first decor set. It is unknown whether this is some unreleased figure that was meant to be part of Estrela's line-up or simply a generic toy that the set designer grabbed from somewhere else... Although, given the fact that no promotional material for a similar figure has ever been found, the latter seems more likely.
- Then again, Pick-Up and another Estrela toy - the battery-powered Força Bruta ("Brute Force") Jeep <ref>A review of Estrela's Força Bruta</ref> - can be seen on the nightstand of the second set, suggesting that Karsten might have been specifically given Estrela toys for their photoshoots. So... who knows.
