Kid-Bot is a Go-Bot from the Go-Bots portion of the Go-Bots continuity family.

Kid-Bot is a young, easily excited Go-Bot that due to his affiliation with Speed-Bot is part of the Go-Bot Protector team on Earth. He is inseparable from his buddy Gas-Bot and like him doesn't so much speak as produces chirps that may or may not be understood by the rest of the Go-Bots.

Go-Bots cartoon

[edit]

Kid-Bot was left behind at the Go-Pod along with Gas-Bot, Buzzer-Bot and Beast-Bot when the rest of the Go-Bot Protectors moved out to stop Silver-Bot's antics. The four did keep an eye on the situation through their camera system and thus saw Aero-Bot being challenged by Silver-Bot to a race. Kid-Bot and the others greatly worried about Aero-Bot's safety, what with the hurricane approaching and all. But Aero-Bot wasn't team leader for nothing, easily outflying and later saving Silver-Bot. This elicited much cheering from the Go-Pod audience. Typhoon Twister

Once information got to the Go-Pod that another renegade Go-Bot was causing trouble on Earth, this one called Mototron, Kid-Bot and Gas-Bot opted to be a bit more proactive. Knowing that Speed-Bot was going along to stop Mototron, Kid-Bot and Gas-Bot hid in his trunk and didn't come out until Strong-Bot contacted Speed-Bot and Beast-Bot to ask if they'd seen the youngsters anywhere. Trying to show some goodwill, the duo ran up to the nearest oil pipe broken by Mototron and tried clearing the way. However, they were far too weak to get it to move even an inch, which amused Beast-Bot to no end. He ordered Speed-Bot to keep an eye on them while he'd clean up the pipes, but as soon as he had left, Mototron showed up and challenged Speed-Bot to a race. Kid-Bot and Gas-Bot liked the prospect of a race, but Speed-Bot reminded them they had more important things to do. Hearing this, Mototron declared Speed-Bot a weakling and raced off into a mine, upon which Kid-Bot and Gas-Bot followed before Speed-Bot could stop them. Inside the mine, the duo found a minecart, which they used to go after Mototron faster. However, Mototron's careless behavior caused the tunnel to collapse around Kid-Bot and Gas-Bot.

Fortunately, Speed-Bot had followed them and got them out of the mine safely. Once Mototron had been subdued and the danger eliminated, Aero-Bot admonished Kid-Bot and Gas-Bot for their irresponsible behavior, ordering them to polish chrome at the Go-Pod as punishment. Kid-Bot and Gas-Bot began cheering over the relatively light punishment, causing the rest of the team to laugh. Arctic Oil Spill

Notes

[edit]
  • The name "Kid-Bot" comes from the Go-Bots cartoon and isn't mentioned in any of the toy instructions or on the packages. It is thus perfectly possible that some or all of the figures that didn't come with the Speed-Bot II toy actually are different characters than Kid-Bot, but there is no fiction to confirm this. Therefore, the toys are listed as being Kid-Bot.
