Memory Scrambler Mines are small electronic devices that wipe out a machine’s memory banks upon contact. It is unknown if they also work on Transformers.

When the Decepticon's discovered the Autobots' recovery base with the aid of the Thermo-borer, Ratchet placed a Memory Scrambler Mine on the machine so the location data would be lost. However, the Decepticons had the Thermo-borer equipped with their new Beta Blocking Shield, which rendered the Memory Scrambler Mine useless. Jaws of Terror
