Michel Dodane (b. July 4, 1954) is a French actor specializing in theater and dubbing, and also a writer. As a voice actor, he is one of the French voices of Jeffrey Nordling, Ed O'Neill and Daniel Stern.

In animation, he is mostly known for being the voice of Sheriff in the Disney-Pixar Cars films, among various other voice roles in animated films and TV series. He also sings, for example the French opening of Spongebob Squarepants (Aye aye, captain!) and he voices the Robot Devil in Futurama, including in the Robot Hell song.

He voiced Garfield the cat in the 2007 3D film Garfield Gets Real, and is now his replacement voice in The Garfield Show when his regular voice, Gérard Surugue, is not available.

Notes

[edit]
  • Starscream was dubbed by Alexandre Gillet in Armada and Energon, but Michel Dodane took over the role since Gillet did not return for Cybertron.
  • He made an appearance on the YouTube channel of famous French Youtubers McFly & Carlito, in which they blindly try to recognize cartoon voices. He came as Optimus Prime, of course. Patrick Préjean and Boris Rehlinger are in the video too, but not for Transformers-related roles.
