The micro-bug is a Cybertronian device used for covert spying. It consists of a small camera lens and an internal antenna capable of streaming live video across large distances.

The bug then proceeded to relay sensitive information about Wheeljack's new invention back to Decepticon Headquarters, cluing Megatron in to the device's existence.
