Mika Akitaka (明貴 美加 Akitaka Mika) is a Japanese mechanical designer probably best known for his work on the :}}Gundam| giga-franchise, particularly critical darlings like :}}Mobile Suit Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket| and :}}Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory|. He briefly worked as a toy designer for TakaraTomy on the original Generation 1 franchise before being snapped up by competitor :}}Bandai| after the commercial success of his designs caught their attention, perhaps a little too well.
