The mind-drill is a creation of Tarantulas meant for purposes of interrogation. It works through the use of nanoprobes, microscopic creatures that settle in specific regions of the Transformer mind, restructuring neural pathways. Through this, the subject becomes more cooperative and open to suggestions.

When Megatron figured out that torture wasn't going to get Antagony to speak either, he turned to Tarantulas and his arsenal of inventions to obtain the mind-drill. Convinced it would work, Megatron used it on Antagony, though as he expected, she fought to resist the invasion. Focusing her thoughts on her enemy Cataclysm and the hate she felt for him, Antagony hoped to create mental antibodies to destroy the nanoprobes. She was successful almost until she could free herself, but then her thoughts wavered on the possibility that Cataclysm would become the next Herald Maximo if she did not escape soon. The nanoprobes attacked immediately, yet were rendered useless when a failsafe device implanted in Antagony's mind went off and wiped her mind to prevent her from betraying Shokaract. Herald
