In the production of new tunnels at the Yatsugatake mine, the workers came across a large black object that was impervious to explosives. The overseer was brought to the site and informed by a miner that the object stood up to even three times the amount of explosives normally used. The laborer proposed using a stronger explosive, but the overseer declined, not wanting to collapse the tunnel. As the overseer tried to investigate the object closer, it emitted a strange light and caused the mine to rumble, forcing everybody to flee.
Outside, the workers waited and the laborer told the overseer that the prefectural police were on their way. Ginrai arrived in his truck and went in the mine. The fearful overseer ran in after him and warned that they weren't allowed inside till the police came. Nevertheless, the object took its own initiative and emerged from the mine, sending the overseer and Ginrai running out. Friend or Foe!? The True Form of the Monster!!
