Mirage (SG)

Mirage is an evil Autobot from the Shattered Glass continuity family.
I am wearing my new dress tonight, but you don't even notice me...

Nobody takes much notice of Mirage. Granted, a good part of that was because he couldn't even be seen up until recently. He used his natural state of invisibility to rob banks (as a desperate cry for attention, maybe?) until Optimus Prime finally took notice of him and had him sent to Ratchet. Now, given the "gift" of permanent partial transparency, with the "special ability" to become fully apparent, Mirage can finally be seen...

...but pretty much everyone still ignores him, leading Mirage to complain endlessly about his sorry lot in life, not that anyone listens.

Mirage was tapped for being interviewed by Andromeda on Around Cybertron. But before the interview could begin, Andromeda was distracted by hearing about a coup against Optimus Prime, and ran off to cover it.

Mirage reacted by lamenting about how no one pays attention to him, but the newly arrived Rook was too busy cooing over getting his precious newsdesk back to initially notice. He then apologized for not seeing Mirage there at first, which just depressed Mirage further. Around Cybertron #7

At some unspecified point in time, Mirage and a team of Autobots somehow under the command of both Rodimus Prime and Optimus Prime fought Thundercracker and Ravage in the Transformers' greatest battle on Earth, "Digital Doom on the Highway to Destruction." According to Ravage, anyway. Recordicons #3

Having captured Ravage, Mirage and Hound had a hint-laden conversation about a place they were going to raid for energy before "accidentally" dropping the key near Ravage's cage. Recordicons #28

Shattered Glass Mirage was repurposed from Henkei! Electro Disruptor Ligier.
"Electro Disruptor Ligier" is a translucent-plastic version of Henkei! Henkei! Ligier, offered as a mail-away exclusive to those who bought the book Transformers Generations 2009 Volume 1. He transforms into a closed-canopy Formula racer concept car. The front detaches to become a handheld weapon.
This mold was also used to make 2007 Transformers Fracture and Universe Drag Strip.
