Mount Fuji (富士山 Fuji-san) is the largest mountain in Japan and as such is usually conspicuous whenever someone visits that country. It can even be seen from Tokyo.

J-Five was passing by Mount Fuji when Ai contacted Team Shinkansen to tell them the Destrongers were attacking Tokyo. Gigatron's Raid!

The Robots in Disguise dub does not take place in Japan, and so the mountain is not Mount Fuji in that continuity.

The Headmasters cartoon

On their way to Tokyo, the Trainbots, Wheelie, and Daniel Witwicky flew over Mount Fuji. They all agreed it was one of the most beautiful mountains in existence. Terror! The Six Shadows

Handily the International School was located nearby, and Cab also constructed a treehouse in the woods surrounding the mountain. Kidnapping!? The Autobots parked Shuttle Base not far from Mount Fuji while Star Saber underwent the operation so he could combine with Victory Leo. Awaken! Victory Leo

An air show took place at the base of Mount Fuji, which Junpei attended. Unfortunately it was gatecrashed by the Decepticon Cyberjets, and before long, Optimus Prime and Megatron were duking it out there. Spoilers: Optimus won. The New Battle!!

Go! cartoon

Dragotron was imprisoned within Mount Fuji's crater. A young boy, hiking at the top of the crater with his father, kicked a stone in, inadvertently causing Dragotron to stir. The Predacon awakened just enough to activate a number of his comrades. Triple Combination! Swordbot - Samurai! Dragotron continued to slumber in a cavern beneath the mountain, watched over by the Four Oni until he finally awakened fully. Depart! Optimus Exprime! Enter! The New Warrior!

After the last two Legendiscs were obtained, the awakened Dragotron abducted Isami Tatewaki and Tobio Fūma, taking them to Mount Fuji where he absorbed both them and the Legendiscs they carried. The power he gained allowed him to start Cyberforming Earth, beginning with Mount Fuji. He was followed there by Optimus Prime and the Swordbot Samurai and Shinobi Teams, and once Dragotron had been defeated, Mount Fuji reverted to its natural state. Final Battle!
