Nali
One of a string of tropical island paradises in the South Pacific, Nali features stunning beaches and secluded coves, particularly around Rangda's Point, that are perfect for fishing. The islanders are friendly and though there is one big town for shopping, many find employment as fishermen or rice farmers on the stepped hills that surround Mount Dorong, the dormant volcano at the island's heart.

[edit]As a youth, you visited Nali with your marine biologist parents. Left to explore the island while they worked nearby, you encountered the Autobots Beachcomber and Seaspray and the Decepticon Dirge. On discovering Dirge's plan to re-ignite Nali's volcano to power the Decepticons' weapons, you and Beachcomber were able to defeat him and drive him off the island. Island of Fear

[edit]- Since Nali only appears in a multipath adventure, its eventual fate depends on the path you take through the book. It's possible to defeat Dirge but cause the volcano to erupt, destroying the island's crops.
- Nali is home to a leopard and a Denebian Stalker, both non-indigenous species imported by Dirge to frighten people away from his base.
- The islanders are highly superstitious, believing that a fire god lives in the volcano and that Dirge is Adurga, the Winged Messenger of Sorrow.
- The only named Nali islander is Akura who looks after you in your parents' absence, but they have gone shopping and do not appear in "Island of Fear".
- Taulo island is nearby.
