Kinda looks like an ice cream sandwich.

Overshields were an item used to soak up damage from firearms and other weaponry. The overshield would act as an augmentation to the user's Energon supplies, allowing them to take twice as much damage before going offline or being downed. Games

Transformers: War for Cybertron (Xbox 360/PS3/PC)

[edit]

During the War for Cybertron, overshields were used in the many countless battles across the planet. They could be found floating, suspended by some unknown means, until a Transformer would pick them up and gain their special properties. During these selfsame battles, Scientists could also activate an overshield matrix after defeating enough opponents. Heavy soldiers, also called shotgunners in Escalation, also implemented overshields.

During some seemingly endless battles, overshields could be purchased from special stations for 250 Energon Points. They could also be found in crates hidden behind doors that require Energon Points to activate also.

During Optimus, Warpath, and Ironhide's mission to the core of Cybertron, the Decepticons had set a trap for the Autobots, disguising EMP grenades as overshields. Eager for the boost, Warpath foolishly took the bait. War for Cybertron

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron (Xbox 360/PS3/PC)

[edit]

By the time that the Ark had launched, automatically recharging overshields had entered widespread use. When Bumblebee was knocked into a brief period of stasis lock when the Nemesis attacked, his overshields were one of the first of his systems to recover. Fall of Cybertron

Notes

[edit]
  • Overshields are scattered all across War for Cybertron's campaign in breakable crates, emblazoned with a "shield" icon. They are also discoverable in Escalation.
