Powerchord is the lead singer and front-bot for the Rock Bots. He's full of manic energy on stage and oddly accomplished off of it.

Powerchord is more than just the face and voice of the Rock Bots, though he is that. He is also a spacecraft pilot, with a Class-A commercial license. He flies his band's private ship, the Rock Force One, from gig to gig. He also has his own micro-brewery, making renowned canned oil. Not bad for a bot with a guitar as an alt mode.

His co-member, Feedback, has had problems with addiction, but Powerchord always stands by him, because he's just that kind of bot. Ask Vector Prime, 2015/09/28

Two Rock Bots would have been sold together in a two-pack. One of them would have turned into a guitar, while the other one turned into an amplifier. In robot mode, they would have had rooted hair, simulating the type of hair worn by [[wikipedia:{{#if:|:}}Glam metal|{{#if:hair metal|hair metal|Glam metal}}]] musicians (well, "hard rock bands") of the 1980s.
