[edit]Robo-Capers
[edit]On one occasion, Pushalong stayed in robot mode when Bumblebee transformed for action. Pushalong explained that he was embarrassed about his alternate mode, but Bumblebee scoffed – what could be more embarrassing than a Volkswagen Beetle? To answer him, Pushalong transformed into a frilly pink pram. Robo-Capers issue 66
Notes
[edit]- We're calling Pushalong an Autobot because, even though he debuted in the same issue as the first depicted Neutral Transformers, it's 50/50 if Lew Stringer read the comic before drawing the strip (he'll readily admit to not being a fan of drawing Transformers, at least). Add this to the fact that he was supposed to be heading into action alongside Bumblebee and... yeah.
- Incidentally, we're calling Pushalong a he because he predates the introduction of female Transformers, and it's probably more embarrassing for a male Transformer to turn into a pink pram. (By 80s boys' toy comic standards, at least.)
- This constitutes more thought being put into Pushalong than there ever has been in the 40 years since his debut.
