Ransack once made an "amazing" comeback in the great Speedia race that determines the most prominent 'bots on Velocitron. He just came in second to Override, and since then he has never forgotten that leadership of the planet should have been his. Above all, Ransack desires power, and being second to Override's leadership has only irritated him further. He doesn't see past his own short term interests and is willing to send his world to hell, or make a deal with the devil, to gain the power that he desires. The Decepticon philosophy looks to be just what's needed on Velocitron, in his opinion, as long as he's the one in charge.

Ransack came second in the Speedia race, finishing just after Override. However, this was ultimately a controversial victory that divided Velocitron's populace; Ransack, a two-wheeler, had only been entered into the race for four-wheeled vehicles as an experiment. Nevertheless, he became co-ruler of the planet of Velocitron along with his rival Override. The two did not see eye-to-eye on most matters.

Ransack and his retinue of political malcontents were among the first Velocitronian that Optimus Prime and his landing crew encountered. He was skeptical about Optimus's claims that he was indeed Prime, but after Optimus showed him the Matrix, he grudgingly led him to the city of Delta. As the Autobots watched the latest Speedia race take place, Ransack monitored them, and was greatly offended when the flying Autobot Silverbolt showed up at the climax of the race, seeing it as an insult to Velocitronian culture.

Later on, a mysterious saboteur from aboard the Ark, calling himself "777" contacted Ransack's group, and claimed to be the vanguard of a "Decepticon" movement that would come to Velocitron. Taken with this idea, Ransack began to plot in earnest against Override, and clandestinely gathered more and more followers who were discontent with the static, race-obsessed culture of Velocitron. It would not be long before he struck in earnest; attacking Optimus Prime and Clocker at Velocitron's south pole.

As the Autobots prepared to leave to continue their quest, Ransack finally confronted Override with a band of rebels in Delta's central hangar. Although his forces were outmatched and outnumbered, Ransack's militia fought hard, although with little skill. When the Star Seekers arrived in the aftermath of this first conflict, Ransack accused Override of aiding the Cybertronians that the pirates sought. This accusation would be what ultimately plunged Velocitron into proper civil war.

When Megatron landed on Velocitron, he was directed by Hightail to Ransack. Ransack was impressed by the Nemesis, although he was primarily concerned with how fast it could go. Although Megatron hated Ransack, he allowed the Velocitronian to pledge loyalty to the Decepticon cause, and left him to continue his war against Override's loyalists. Exiles

  • This version of Ransack is primarily based on Cybertron Ransack with the difference that the Aligned version is Override's main rival.
