The Scientist is a Quintesson from the Cyberverse continuity family.
"Where once, long ago, I was a student here... now, I am its OMNIPOTENT GOD-PRINCIPAL As I soon will be LORD of Big Mountain. DOO DE DOO. Do you hear that? It is my TRUMPET OF VICTORYNESS!"

Eerily patient, methodical, and eccentric even by the loose standards of his species, the Scientist acts as the brains behind the endless travails of the Quintessons and their quest to pass judgement upon the entirety of the multiverse. Part logistical coordinator, part engineer, and part research and development specialist, the Scientist is a busy alien, tasked with the development and creation of each new Quintesson judge.

However, he always finds time to tend to his growing "collection": a menagerie of frozen Soundwaves plucked from each doomed universe he and his kind pass judgement upon.

When the Quintessons entered a new reality, the Scientist abducted native species to create a Judge. Upon the Quintessons' arrival in the primary universe, the Scientist reformatted Starscream into a Judge. The End Of The Universe I Upon arriving at Cybertron, the Scientist programmed a parade to keep the Cybertronian docile as their sparks, along with the AllSpark, were drained. When Hot Rod and Soundwave broke into his compound, the Scientist was delighted to meet Soundwave (who was blue!), repairing the damage that the Decepticon had sustained as a result of his improper ejection from the Loop, being rewarded by an attack from Soundwave's gatling gun. After going through a few bodies, the Scientist managed to snag the two Cybertronians only for Soundwave to release Laserbeak who imparted on the Resistance how to disable the Loop. Before the Scientist could exact vengeance on the duo, they combined their attacks on the new Judge, drawing away the Scientist's attention. When the Judge had been drawn to Iaconus, the Scientist remained aboard the flagship, confronting the Cybertronians who snuck aboard only for his multiple bodies to be easily destroyed. The Judge When the new Judge emerged, Starscream was the dominant personality, refusing, despite the Scientist's pleas, to condemn the universe until Optimus Prime and Megatron were brought before him. After the Cybertronians once again tried to defy the Quintessons, Starscream had the Scientist trap Soundwave and Hot Rod in another virtual reality. The End Of The Universe I In a desperate move, the Cybertronians reactivated Iaconus, the Scientist calmly calling in the brainwashed Croaton to handle the War Titan. When Optimus Prime's group returned to reality, the Scientist dispatched his multiple bodies to confront the Autobots only for his control signal to be tracked by Wheeljack who discovered the true organic form of the Scientist. In a panic, the Scientist summoned multiple defences to ward off the Autobot only for the Cybertronian to push through and unceremoniously crush the Quintesson, ending him once and for all.
