Slipstream was a member of the Cybertronian High Guard. Upon bearing witness to Sentinel Prime's betrayal of the Primes, she and the rest of the High Guard resolved to hide away from the rest of Cybertronian society and delegate resources towards sabotaging Sentinel's rule.

Slipstream stood in attendance as Starscream interrogated a quartet of trespassers and bore witness to a duel between D-16 and Starscream, in which D-16 was victorious. Shortly afterwards, a swarm of Death Trackers led by Airachnid descended upon them. Slipstream was among those captured by Sentinel's forces. She was kept captive in Sentinel's tower in Iacon, held behind Starscream, until Orion Pax's plan to retake the city started, and Soundwave released the prisoners.

Slipstream was among those was among those who witnessed the battle between Optimus Prime and Megatron. After the newly christened Prime defeated Megatron in battle, he banished him and the High Guard from the city, with Slipstream among those following him into exile.

In the High Guard's exile, Megatron rechristened them as Decepticons, and the faction's insignia based on the face of Megatronus Prime was branded onto Slipstream's wings. Slipstream joined her fellow seekers in echoing Megatron's 'rise up' and blasted her weapons in support of her leader.One
