Stratego is a two-player board game that humans have created to simulate warfare between two opposing armies for their entertainment. Although superficially similar to chess in this respect, there are significant differences between the two, most notably that both players' pieces have each a function that is hidden from the opposing player. Each player's goal is to capture their opponent's "flag" piece before their own flag is captured.
