Till vs. 'Til

Does the script for TFTM actually use apostrophe-tee-eye-el? Because, honestly, it makes me twitch. Tee-eye-el-el "till" has been around for 700 years, and apostrophe-tee-eye-el has been around for seventy . . . JW 12:35, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

"Till", "until", and "'til" all mean exactly the same thing, "up to", and all three can be used interchangeably. "Till" came first, shortly followed by "until", both around 750 years ago. "'Til" with an apostrophe first appeared around 1940, and while it's now acceptable, was originally a mistake.

While I agree that the with-apostrophe spelling appears in TF comics, I would still like to know what appears in the TFTM script, since the first official spelling should probably be the title of this article. JW 13:19, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

I thought at the end of that episode during his eulogy Optimus said till all are one and the autobots repeated it. Am I wrong? Okay i watched it I am wrong lols disregard.

Shockwave invented it?

I thought I read somewhere that Shockwave coined the phrase in the Dreamwave continuity. Is that true or am I totally bonkers?

Japanese Continuity

In the Japanese dub of The Movie, the phrase became "宇宙を一つに" (uchū wo hitotsu ni). I'm not sure what a good translation for this would be, though. --OptimusComboy 08:03, 9 January 2015

It should be noted though, that although this is how the phrase was translated most of the time in The Movie, it was different in the scene where Optimus dies. The part where Optimus says "Until that day. 'Til all are one..." became "Until that day when the universe becomes peaceful." (この宇宙が平和になるその日まで) --User:OptimusComboy 8:30, 9 January 2015
