Are we sure the Tailgate/Tailpipe thing isn't just an error? Escargon (talk) 21:03, 29 March 2014 (EDT)

Having read the comic, yes. Nightbeat's "error" is specifically addressed in the issue by Cyclonus's retort, so it's not a "fourth wall" mistake in the dialogue. Nightbeat was deliberately written to say Tailpipe instead of Tailgate. --Xaaron (talk) 21:32, 29 March 2014 (EDT)
Moreover, while I can buy Nightbeat wouldn't make that mistake accidentally... it seems pretty clear he made the "mistake" to wind him up, given that's what the rest of the sentence is him doing! The whole note seems a bit... overwrought. - SanityOrMadness (talk) 22:07, 29 March 2014 (EDT)
I don't think it's in Nightbeat's character to feign ignorance for the sake of flippancy. He's a showoff, the "Look at what I know!" type, not the "What was his name...you know who I'm talking about, right?" type. And of all the "misstated" names he could've used, he uses the name of a character introduced at the start of Dark Cybertron as being Cyclonus's crewmate on the first Ark, a roster and mystery we've know Nightbeat is intimately familiar with since Spotlight: Nightbeat.
Could it mean nothing? Sure. But I think it bears noting. --Xaaron (talk) 11:11, 30 March 2014 (EDT)
I agree that it's intriguing and in my mind at least harks back to Cyclonus's words in "Cybertronian Homesick Blues" when he said there was a Tailpipe but no Tailgate on the Ark-1. Nightbeat obviously knows more about Cyclonus than he's letting on though I do think SanityorMadness nailed it when they said he was doing it to wind him up. --Emvee (talk) 16:02, 1 April 2014 (EDT)

Should scale error be mentioned?

[edit]

I know it's entirely inconsistent, but shouldn't the fact be mentioned that the Lost Light crashing into Monstructor would mean that either the LL is tiny or Monstructor is huge? In fact, from the initial descriptions of the LL being 10 miles wide and 15 miles long, shouldn't it actually be bigger than even Metroplex? --MistaTee (talk) 15:54, 25 May 2014 (EDT)

I'm waiting for a retcon of those figures, because they just don't make sense in almost any scene the ship has ever appeared in. All of its appearances on Cybertron during the DC event, for example, where it's used like a shuttle to get from point A to point B seemingly only a few miles away. It's a big ship for sure, but that big? The art just doesn't convey it, most times. -- Repowers (talk) 20:08, 25 May 2014 (EDT)

Question mark guy

[edit]

Hey Chris, I know it was ages ago, but in the character roster did you put in the question mark (4) between Swoop (3) and Whirl (5) in reference to the hulking guy with a barrel thingy behind his head or to the Cyclonus-shaped flying guy? Both of them look like Ammonites to me. Or at least their color schemes suggest so in my view. S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 22:54, 29 February 2016 (EST)
