Talk:Ability

We don't really have any place to find all of the examples of abilities. Ordinarily an "Abilities" category would be the right place, but I'm not sure all of the abilities would make a good article. For example, do we really want/need an "Earthquake generating ability" (Rumble (G1), Earthquake (G1)) page? Maybe we do. What do you think? If we don't want to make an article for each ability, can we list all known abilities here, so we have all of the examples in one place? - Starfield 16:30, 26 December 2009 (EST)

I believe it was stated that TFwiki hates list (atleast that was what I was told when I was making a list of every type of function for the Function article). Even if we did make a list, there are some abilities that overlap (i.e. - the magnetic ability mention in this article). I wouldn't mind a list, but that would be up to the powers-that-be. As for seperate articles on these powers, that would probably be based on the individual power (there's one for Glass gas). - Zadok Rox 14:47, 27 December 2009 (EST)

I had second thoughts about a list when I thought a little about what would be included in it. "Ability" is a little hard to define and overlaps with "weapons". Truth be told, I though about suggesting an abilities category when I wrote Telekinesis. I suppose holograms, and maybe make some articles on invisibility and magnetism. -- SFH 21:26, 29 December 2009 (EST)

Energo weapon is a named thing. A proper noun. "Ability" is not. Bios are NOT Tech-specs. They are two different things. --ItsWalky 22:06, 2 January 2010 (EST)

In that case, if the powers-that-be feel that this article should intergreted into the Transformer Biology article, so be it. Perhaps Repowers is right. I really wanted to point out how the G1 cartoon and G1 bio didn't jive in regards of abilites, but I suppose that could be made a footnote. After some time and looking over the article again, Repowers is indeed right. There's so little information regarding abilities that it could be shoehorned as a brief paragraph in the Transformers Biology article.
