Talk:Alexis Thi Dang
So where did it say that Alexis' parents are boat people? I want to add it, but want to source it, too. --ItsWalky 05:21, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- Hmm, if her parents are asian boat people refugees, there's a chance that she's vietnamese-american. hmm. --FFN 06:06, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- Actually, FFN, I think the same source that said her parents were boat people specified they were Vietnamese. It was either the liner notes of the first Micron Legend soundtrack or the Micron Legend Yearbook... I'll see if I can find it in my chatlogs. --Monzo 07:26, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks - personally, I find this very interesting. Up to and including the 2000s, boat people escaping communism in Vietnam have turned up as far as Australia. Assuming she was born in the US, her parents must have escaped sometime in the mid-to-late 90s. --FFN 10:23, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
Blah blah blah old news
[edit]Argh! Sorry, X-Bob. I'm not sure what happened to her talk page. Anyway. What I was going to say: Alexis' appearance at the end of Cybertron should wait until that episode has aired on Cartoon Network. Frankly, just making a Cybertron section is a spoiler -- hell, the presence of a spoiler tag itself signifies there is new Alexis information. So no. --ItsWalky 01:45, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
- Plot details for characters WITHIN the Cybertron cartoon, yeah, I can see that, so long as the spoiler tag is intact. But Alexis et all? Nonono. --M Sipher 01:50, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
- The spoiler tag says it all, "Plot and/or ending details follow." I wasn't aware the fact that Alexis is still apparently alive constitutes a plot detail. Shellspark 02:15, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
I'm sure every has long forgot about this by now, but whatever it was that was going to be said about Alexis... is not really a spoiler anymore. --Suki Brits 19:03, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
Did we ever get a last name for her, or is she just Alexis Jane Doe?
- Given she's vietnamese, and going by common names, her surname is most likely Nguyen or Pham. --FFN 05:23, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- Apparently, it's Thi Dang. Guess it's time to move this page, then? --KilMichaelMcC 19:43, 12 July 2010 (EDT)
- That's a fan profile, right? - Starfield 00:00, 13 July 2010 (EDT)
- Not unless The AllSpark Almanac II is a fan production. --ItsWalky 00:24, 13 July 2010 (EDT)
- But you are forcing your fanon on us! —Interrobang 04:45, 13 July 2010 (EDT)
- Haha, apparently the text behind her is the Visitors language from V. It says "We are at peace" You read it top-down, left-right. Alexis Thi Dang is a V shill! JOHN MAY LIVES! -- Semysane 04:55, 13 July 2010 (EDT)

- What is that website? - Starfield 08:48, 13 July 2010 (EDT)
- There is a book called the The AllSpark Almanac II, it is by Jim Sorenson and Bill Forster. On one of the pages inside the book, it has the info about Alexis' last name and the image of her. That same page also gives this URL and expands on the information given on those pages in the book. The image from the book and the information are duplicated on this website. But, really, I think the credits at the bottom of the site and all of the links on the right-hand-side would have been a big clue! --ItsWalky 09:15, 13 July 2010 (EDT)
- I don't trust everything I read on the internets. I saw the credits and links, but no ©Hasbro. So I asked what it was all about. - Starfield 09:42, 13 July 2010 (EDT)
- Yeah, I actually had the same thought. The website does contain info not in the Almanac (though Alexis's last name, for example, is not one of those things), and I'm unsure if the site's been okayed by Hasbro and therefore admissible as canon. - Chris McFeely 11:19, 13 July 2010 (EDT)
- I'll agree with this. The website is potentially shaky. This won't affect Alexis's name, but still. --M Sipher 11:32, 13 July 2010 (EDT)
- Website is just for fun, unofficial, something Bill and Walky and I (and a few other folks) whipped up to entertain. Non-canon! --Jimsorenson 11:42, 13 July 2010 (EDT)
- And there we are! (I liked having a name for Cybertron's president, though...) - Chris McFeely 12:03, 13 July 2010 (EDT)
- Hey, if you want to throw it up in the notes or the trivia section as a bit of pseudocanon I won't argue against that idea, but the web-site itself is 100% non-Hasbro.--Jimsorenson 12:05, 13 July 2010 (EDT)

Wasn't there some sort of added scene in the English version of CCybertron that showed Alexis, Carlos, and that one other kid in the last episode?
- Read up, like, five lines, man. --ItsWalky 05:32, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- Uh, you do realize that it was never actually put into the article, right? --Suki Brits 05:54, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- I am well aware, and I am not sure why that impacts my reply!--ItsWalky 06:19, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- "She still alive." Quite pithy, but kind of lacking in details...
- That assumes there are details to add, which there kind of aren't.--MCRG 05:39, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's pretty much her standing for three seconds in the final episode. Could use an image, but there isn't anything else to add. Interrobang 06:13, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
- Well, you could add that she was with her friends, with Kicker standing somewhere close at the Ark launching, for no reason. And she was in that weding photo.
- ...Only Cybertron characters were in the wedding photo. It wouldn't make a lot of sense to have her attend the wedding, either. Interrobang 05:10, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
- Unless she was Prime's date :D (yeah, I know she's not in the photo, just seemed like a good for a bad joke). --FFN 05:36, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

I iz happy! :D
[edit]- Coincidentally having only just yesterday particpiated in a discussion about the inherent discriminatory nature of (popular) media through conventions of society officially disapproved of but otherwise commonly condoned and the bothersome feedback to the general mindset this results in, I just want to say in regards to Alexis finally being given a last name... thank you! Geewunling 02:23, 13 July 2010 (EDT)
Move to "Alexis Dang"?
[edit]The wiki doesn't really use middle names in article titles. See: Sam Witwicky. - Starfield 11:37, 13 July 2010 (EDT)
- "Thi" is not a middle name, to my knowledge.--RosicrucianTalk 12:19, 13 July 2010 (EDT)
- To clarify, most Vietnamese names I can find that incorporate it state it even in contexts where middle names would not be used.--RosicrucianTalk 12:24, 13 July 2010 (EDT)
