Talk:Board Wars
Jesus, could this article have any LESS information? --FFN 14:47, 30 June 2007 (UTC)
Congratulations on winning Board Wars this year! Angela<staff /> (talk) 09:54, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
Know what's funny?
If Trent Troop and I hadn't been in the room waiting to talk to Brian Savage about something totally unrelated at the start of the Board Wars... no victory.
(Also funny, someone whining and effectively calling "cheating" by saying the wiki team wrote most of this year's questions... even though near as I can tell, nobody actually ON the team had sent in questions. And you mean to tell me nobody from the OTHER teams sent in questions?) --M Sipher 23:06, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
I can't wait for Monzo to upload the photo of us his mom took. Every article on the Wiki needs at least one image. -Rotty 00:59, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
- You're so vain... you probably think this article's about you... --Suki Brits 05:48, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
- Congrats guys. Crush the other fandom boards we are part of anyway! :P :D --FFN 07:35, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
- I wish I had known the Wiki was gonna participate, I skiped the Board Wars stuff this year to hang out in the dealers room. I would have definately stopped by if I'd known we were in it.--ZacWilliam 10:28, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
Was someone legitimately complaining about "cheating"? I know I mentioned a few times that you guys wrote all the questions, but it was just poking fun. If anybody got that bent out of shape about it, they really need to check their priorities. It was all in good fun. --Spectre 16:23, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
- And you'll always have Lexington. :D -Rotty 17:32, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
Stub
[edit]Is it really? I don't think there's really anything more to be said. --Suki Brits 00:30, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
- It would help to tell readers the format (three multiple-choice rounds with increasing point values, etc.) and the boards represented. Who all did compete? Us, Allspark, TFW2005, Seibertron, the club forum... TFormers was there, right? -Rotty 00:58, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
- You know, we're still waiting for people who actually went to Botcon to update the articles about...... Botcon. So I'm stubbing this article because it needs more information so it doesn't looking like a self-wank page for certain members who were on the winning Allspark and Wiki trivia teams. --FFN 03:04, 4 October 2007 (UTC)

2009
[edit]Hey, was there a Board Wars this year? I can't see mention of it on the BotCon 2009 article or the official site. --abates 18:56, 12 July 2009 (EDT)
- No Board Wars this year. --Lonegamer78 19:41, 12 July 2009 (EDT)
- Darn! I kinda figured as much, since I'd have expected someone would have mentioned it by now. --abates 20:53, 12 July 2009 (EDT)
- With the Paramount Party? I doubt they would've been able to squeeze it in, short of having pre-reg pick-up one day earlier. --Lonegamer78 21:09, 12 July 2009 (EDT)
- The Paramount Party took place at night, and the Board Wars segments happened during the day, amongst the panels. There would have been no more conflict than in previous years. --ItsWalky 21:25, 12 July 2009 (EDT)
- Aw, they were probably just tired of the wiki kickin' everyone's ass. :D - Chris McFeely 21:53, 12 July 2009 (EDT)
- That, and at 2008, Monzo asked why the Board Wars were the only contest at BotCon without a cash reward. Ahahaha. --ItsWalky 21:57, 12 July 2009 (EDT)
- So basically, we killed Board Wars. Excellent. Hooper_X 09:28, 13 July 2009 (EDT)
- That's another for the Wiki's endless rotation of slogans. "TFWiki.net: We killed Board Wars." --RosicrucianTalk 11:25, 13 July 2009 (EDT)

Ranking
[edit]I see we've bolded the winners, but do we have the info on who finished 2nd, 3rd and so on (if, indeed, it was ranked that way; I never attended one)? Or are we intentionally not including that info because we don't wanna hurt any feelings? --DrSpengler 12:01, 13 July 2009 (EDT)
