Hey, if one were to create a page for Kicker, should it be called Chad Jones, Kicker Jones, or a combination of both (like Chad 'Kicker' Jones)? Chad Jones is his real name, but Kicker is the name that people know him by. --FFN 10:33, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

I think we should go with the most common name, which would be Kicker. Interrobang 15:47, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
From Help:Article types and titles: "Character articles about humans should use the human's full name if known. Characters with multiple names (as in the case of alter-egos) should have their article listed under their most prominent name, even if that means a human is listed under a code name instead of their real full name. For more detail on these complications, see Disambiguation."
And from Help:Disambiguation: "Characters with multiple names (as in the case of alter-egos) should have redirect pages at all names and their article under their most prominent name (hence Circuit Breaker instead of Josie Beller). Humans should be listed with their full name if possible (except in the case of alter egos) with redirects from nicknames."
All of which is a long way of saying that Interrobang is right. Just make sure to set up redirects. --Steve-o 18:55, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
Thanks guys. --FFN 19:02, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

Double-checking

[edit]

In March 2007, an anon user added to Dr Jones' cartoon section, but now that I think about it, I never recalled that:

A. He graduated from MIT
B. His research was part of a private industry thing instead of what appeared to be a government project between Earth and Cybertron

Can anybody confirm this or otherwise? I'm quite happy to change it back to Monzo's last edit in late 2006. I might as well watch the first bunch of episodes to rewrite the section properly, since it's in our old 2006 Wikipedia-style 'what he's like' format. --FFN 11:44, 23 March 2008 (UTC)

Dr. or Doctor?

[edit]

Dr. Brian Jones is disambig'd with Doctor Biggles-Jones. The disambig would be funnier if they were in the same format. Is there a reason they are not? -Derik 06:30, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

The page is actually at Dr. Sidney Biggles-Jones. Current policy is that if it's just the last name, it's "Doctor". If it's both first and last name, it's "Dr." I'd personally prefer it if we just removed the titles from the article titles, but I'm sure nobody agrees with me. —Interrobang 09:14, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
