Talk:Chuffer
Actually, the misunderstanding is a musunderstanding. Dreadwind didnt' really care, he shrugged and saud "Chuffer, Steamer, what's the difference?"
Chuffer is the severed head on page 7. Steamer is the Red & Green robot on page 1.
Since theyw ere named in different leffers pages, a reader got confused and told him Grimlock had alreadmed that 'un. Dreadwind shrugged and said maybe he was wrong.
Blt clearly- Dreadwind was right. :) -Derik 06:22, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
- That's the first time I've ever heard of this completely different interpretation of what should be pretty black and white. I don't know that I believe you. --ItsWalky 06:42, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
- Aarugh, I closed all the windows, gimmie a second and I'll post transcripts. ;)
- But I went back to the source material to check, so, go me! -Derik 06:47, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
- I only have 175's letters page scanned. I see how there could be confusion, though. Grimlock doesn't answer the actual question, and makes a correction instead. --ItsWalky 06:55, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
Alright;
UK#175 - A fan writes in cocnerned abotu seeing Kup's decapitated head in the first part of City of Fear. (page 7 & 8) Grimlock reassures him, that's not Kup, it's Chuffer!
UK#206 -A fan asks Dreadwind who the robot on the first page of City of Fear was. Answer; Steamer.
UK#222 - Richard Albon is clearly confused. "Didn't Grimlock says that was Chuffer?" He clearly thinks both letters refer to the same robot. Dreadwind says it doesn't really make a difference what his name was if he's dead.
That the kid managed to confuse even Dreadwind does not change that the one witht he stovepipe is steamer, and the severed head is Chuffer.
Chaa! -Derik 06:57, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
- >.< GODDAMNIT, I missed Grimlock's second sentence!
- ...I still say he was talkign about the severed head. -Derik 07:01, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
- Guess Sipher's still infallible! But hey, that's the most confusing back-and-forth in that letters page anyway, so. I only had to read it 30 times. And I still read it wrong. --ItsWalky 07:02, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
- GOOD JOB, GRIMLOCK. --M Sipher 07:06, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
