Talk:Cyberforming

Is there a source for the Quintessons cyberforming Cybertron? Not that I don't find it plausible, but I would like something to back it up. -- SFH 21:16, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

In retrospect, I might have been accidentally mixing it with the Botcon stuff about the Quintessons. I'll have to double-check.--76.1.36.210 17:45, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

What is the source for this word? I certainly don't recall it being used in Beast Machines, which is the only fiction section in the article. Did it come from Alignment or something? Or perhaps somewhere in the G2 comics? If it's not a real word, we need to make that abundantly clear and/or move the article. --Steve-o 04:32, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

I think it's used in the G2 comics, but I'm not sure. -Derik 04:34, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
After a brief readthrough of some G2 issues, I note they seem to consistently call it eco-structuring. --ItsWalky 04:39, 5 August 2007 (UTC)
If that is the case, eco-structuring could certainly warrant an article, but I wouldn't want to cover the Beast Machines process in the same article since we have no idea if the processes are similar. I am inclined to say this article should be deleted unless somebody provides a citation for the term. --Steve-o 04:34, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
I believe the word cyberforming came from Andy Dornan's fanfic "The Cyberformers", an excellent tale and part of the TMUK continuity. It might have been used before then in a different TMUK fic and has probably seen use on various message boards over the years, explaining why it seems to have entered the collective consciousness. It's now been used in the IDW comics, so I've removed the "citation needed" link --Emvee 16:36, 26 July 2012 (EDT)

G1 Cartoon appearance?

[edit]

Is what the Key to Vector Sigma does to Earth in the cartoons also a form of cyberforming/eco-structuring? Or is it just some vague "turn crap into metal" process? Magaroja 15:51, 5 November 2012 (EST)

Move to "Cyberforming"?

[edit]

I feel like this term is used much more often these days and is better understood by a casual fan. Any thoughts? S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent 47 (talk) 18:20, 4 May 2016 (EDT)

Done (over five years later). -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 20:13, 10 September 2021 (EDT)
