Yes, it is a picture of Gigant Bomb and Smokesniper. The reason I put that there is because the Gigant Bomb and Smokesniper toys were repurposed as SG Darkwind and Dreadwind respectively, thus, theoretically, the picture is also of SG Darkwind and Dreadwind. Disambiguation

Sorry for the newb question, but I couldn't think of where to find the answer: do we make full disambiguation pages for a name when the pages being disambiguated merely have confusingly similar names? Or do we just stack "two item" disambiguation templates? Because Darkwind/Darkwing/Darkwings all need some way to connect their current disambiguations. --Jeysie 13:49, 14 July 2009 (EDT)

Darkwind (G1) should redirect here? Wha? As for Darkwind redirecting here, think about someone who bought the recent Universe toy and typed Darkwind into the search bar. If Darkwind redirects here, he might have a hard time getting to the right place, unless possibly the redirect on this page is changed. "For his evil Powermaster counterpart, see Darkwing" isn't very helpful if you don't know you are looking for a Powermaster named Darkwing. I know the "DarkwinX (disambiguation)" page is unorthodox. I didn't say "Darkwind should redirect here". I said either "Darkwind should redirect to Darkwing" or "Darkwing (SG) should be moved to Darkwing". OK, now you're confusing me. My reasoning: Darkwind is an official alternate name for Darkwing per some of the recent toys, so it should redirect there, as the G1 usage is more common/expected. (After all, someone looking for "Darkwind" is probably looking for that Silverbolt repaint, not a minor TFCC character.)

And since that means we'd then have two Darkwinds, that technically means there should also be a Darkwind (G1) redirect to go with this Darkwind (SG), per our disambiguation rules.

So, my comment was meant to be both a vote for "Darkwind should redirect to Darkwing" and an additional step besides. My saying "Darkwind should redirect here" was a mistake of me being sleepy and screwing up what I actually meant to say, as I already explained, but you apparently didn't read that part. --Jeysie 08:40, 20 August 2009 (EDT)

I'm against moving this page to "Darkwind". "Darkwind (G1)" should be reserved (even if not used) and this Darkwind should retain its "(SG)". Theoretically, if someone bought the recent Darkwind Universe toy and knew nothing of his history, he would search the name and the wiki would lead him here. If there was no parenthetical, he would be safe to assume there are no other versions of the character so would have no reason to think this page is the wrong one for him. - Starfield 11:54, 20 August 2009 (EDT)

Darkwind

Actually, I kinda wonder if this should just go to Darkwind (SG), since he's the only guy to have "Darkwind" as his only name. Then just have a disambig to "Darkwing", plain and simple. -- Repowers 12:34, 20 August 2009 (EDT)

I'll just repeat what I said on SG Darkwind's page: Darkwind seems to be the new official name for G1 Darkwing due to trademark issues, so someone's far more likely to be thinking of his new toy named that than a very minor character in a side-story on a TFCC mag. --Jeysie 12:39, 20 August 2009 (EDT)
