If he were closer to our group, I think the "obsessive-compulsive" line would come across less harshly - kettle, pot, etc. But knowing that several editors really dislike the guy, it does seem unjustifiably mean. I wouldn't be surprised if he's called himself that, but if that's the case, we could really use a cite to let readers know we're not bashing him out of nowhere. - Jackpot 18:50, 9 March 2011 (EST)

Of course. But the average reader isn't going to research the page-history or, having done so, make that assumption. Edit: On the other hand, the average reader isn't going to know about the bad blood between him and certain editors, so.... eh, I don't know. Of all the possible criticism one could have regarding this wiki, that is.... not one I ever expected to read. Unfortunately, Google Groups is notoriously spotty at retrieving Usenet posts subsequent to 2011, so I haven't been able to track a linkable quote. For whatever it's worth, attempting to track such a quote, I uncovered a post from 2010 in which he said that he didn't hate the wiki, though he was at the time unaware of the fork from Wikia and wasn't a fan of caption humour.
